Investing in Central America

In recent years Central American real estate has been booming in sales.  Ironically, despite the weakening dollar due to the economic crisis, more Americans and Canadians are looking to buy properties and invest in businesses abroad.  The baby-boomers at risk of losing, or that have lost their 401Ks are looking for a place outside of the U.S. to buy a home with the finances they still have available to them.

Central America has numerous business opportunities to invest in while maintaining the comfort of U.S. commodities.  Not only are businesses start-ups far less costly than in the United States, but wages are 3 to 4 to even 5 times lower than U.S. standards.  Central American property and construction costs are extremely low budget and trade pacts between Central America and the United States have been in place for several years now; escalating the return on investment for any business established in these countries.  Furthermore, governments are passing laws and incentives to encourage investment and are more than willing to continue becoming ‘foreign investment friendly’.
